“If Daft Punk sold pizzas…” was the central idea shared with us by the client. Diskoteka Pizza is a themed pizzeria located in the heart of Prague, Czech Republic. Based on this concept, we developed an identity inspired by a nostalgic aesthetic that evokes 1980s Italo Disco. The challenge was to communicate this nostalgia through typographic play and color.

I learned that by printing directly onto cans without a white underbase, we can actually create a metallic effect using standard process inks. How cool is that? Another takeaway from this project was just how important typography is in evoking a specific time period.
